This is a standard PCIe capture card — it works on its own in any Windows or Linux PC. A VSN wall controller chassis is only needed if you're building a multi-display video wall; most of our capture cards are sold and used as standalone cards in a single workstation.

Product Overview

About This Product

Suited to applications that need real-time capture of analog or DVI sources — viewing analog or DVI sources from PCs, Macs, industrial/medical equipment and cameras, streaming applications, and video wall controllers. The XtremeRGB-Ex1+ captures Analog/DVI data and triple-buffers it into onboard storage before DMA transfer to the host system, or direct to an EMS graphics card for increased performance.

Supplied with configuration software that automatically detects the video source format and displays captured video in a desktop window, and is compatible with Windows DirectShow-based encoding applications via built-in WDM support.

Applications & Markets

Where This Product Fits

XtremeRGB-Ex1+ is the entry point into the XtremeRGB range — a single DVI/RGB analogue channel for projects that only need to capture one legacy source, such as a single piece of medical or industrial equipment with an analogue or DVI output. Where a second channel is needed on the same card, XtremeRGB-Ex2+ is the direct step up; where several SD sources need capturing instead, look at XtremeRGB-Ex4+ or XtremeRGB-Ex8.
