This is a standard PCIe capture card — it works on its own in any Windows or Linux PC. A VSN wall controller chassis is only needed if you're building a multi-display video wall; most of our capture cards are sold and used as standalone cards in a single workstation.

Product Overview

About This Product

Two complete capture channels supporting up to 1920×1200 DVI or 2048×1536 analog resolution. The XtremeRGB-Ex2+ captures Analog/DVI data and triple-buffers it into onboard storage for DMA transfer to the host system, and when paired with an EMS graphics card transfers data directly to it for increased performance.

Suited to medical imaging (capturing legacy RGB modalities), multi-display presentation software, digital signage, machine vision, voyage data recorders and simulation/military command & control. Supplied with configuration software that auto-detects source format, and is compatible with Windows DirectShow-based encoding applications via built-in WDM support.

Applications & Markets

Where This Product Fits

XtremeRGB-Ex2+ is a good fit for medical imaging suites still running legacy analogue RGB modalities alongside DVI/HD sources, and for machine vision or command & control builds needing two full-resolution capture channels on one card. For a single-channel, lower-cost version of the same capability, XtremeRGB-Ex1+ covers one DVI/RGB channel; where several SD analogue sources also need capturing on the same card, XtremeRGB-Ex4+ adds four SD channels alongside one DVI/HD channel.

The Bottom Line
