This is a standard PCIe capture card — it works on its own in any Windows or Linux PC. A VSN wall controller chassis is only needed if you're building a multi-display video wall; most of our capture cards are sold and used as standalone cards in a single workstation.

Product Overview

About This Product

Two channels of HD DVI video plus an extra composite video input, all operating simultaneously and independently, with full analogue and digital audio support. Both DVI HD inputs support HDMI, DVI, RGB and analogue Component (YPbPr) via a DVI-I connector, at resolutions up to 4096×4096 pixels and 1080p @60fps.

All three channels are triple-buffered into onboard storage for tear-free video, with audio selectable from an HDMI or analogue port, synchronised in software via timestamping. A flexible single-card solution for medical, lecture capture, webcasting and video conferencing applications.

Applications & Markets

Where This Product Fits

XtremeAV-HD2+ suits projects needing two independent HDMI/DVI HD channels plus a spare composite input on one card — a common lecture capture and video conferencing layout pairing two HD sources (presenter camera, laptop feed) with a legacy SD input for backward compatibility. Where three channels or SDI capture is needed instead, XtremeAV-SDI is the closer fit; where only a single HD channel is needed, XtremeAV covers that at lower cost.

The Bottom Line

Why Choose the XtremeAV-HD2+?

  • Four-lane PCIe, 1.6 GB/s total bandwidth
  • Two HD DVI channels + one composite input
  • Full analogue & digital audio support

The XtremeAV-HD2+ is backed by EMS's UK technical support and standard 3-year warranty (5-year extended available on most of the range) — get in touch if you're not sure it's the right fit and we'll help you spec it correctly the first time.
