Current-generation 5-slot modular video wall controller
The current-generation VSNV3 5-slot chassis is EMS's entry point into the VSN video wall controller family, built for mission control rooms, traffic management centres and security suites where a smaller footprint is preferred but reliability still can't be compromised. It supports EMS's Image graphics, Xtreme capture and Active SQX IP decode/encode cards in any mix across its five slots.
Three processor tiers are available depending on workload — a 12th generation Intel Core i9 (5.10GHz, 30MB cache) for the most demanding multi-stream configurations, 12th generation Core i7 (4.90GHz, 25MB cache) for typical control room loads, and a 10th generation Xeon W-1270E (4.8GHz, 16MB cache) for steady-state 24/7 duty cycles — the Xeon tier is also the only one that unlocks the 128GB memory ceiling. Every chassis ships with an 800W redundant hot-swap power supply and hot-swappable fans for uninterrupted maintenance, and can be protected with EMS's spares kit and optional 5-year extended warranty for sites that can't tolerate downtime.
The 5-slot VSNV3 suits mission control rooms where reliability matters more than sheer channel count — traffic management centres, telecom operations facilities, and utility monitoring suites where space is limited but 24/7 uptime is non-negotiable. It comfortably handles a mixed set of Xtreme capture and graphics cards without the added footprint of an 11-slot chassis, and can still be scaled up later using the matching VSNV3 expansion chassis if the wall grows.
Choose the processor tier based on workload: Xeon for steady-state 24/7 monitoring or where you need the 128GB memory ceiling, i7/i9 where multiple simultaneous 4K streams or heavier graphics processing are involved.
