     The XtremeRGB-Ex8 is an eight channel PCIe capture card and can capture up to 8x 720x576x16bit from eight simultaneous capture channels for real time video overlays.

    Max resolution: 8x 720 x 576 x 16bit PAL/NTSC Composite The XtremeRGB-Ex8, a standalone PCIe x4 plug in card (can be used in x8, x16 slots), delivers extreme performance with 480MB/s transfer bus bandwidth. This high industrial performance makes the XtremeRGB series ideal for a wide range of applications. The XtremeRGB-Ex8 has eight composite inputs 720 x 576, 16-bit.  The XtremeRGB-Ex8 captures the Analog data and triple buffers it into on-board storage.  This data is then copied using Direct Memory Access (DMA) to the host system for display, storage or streaming.  The included application includes option to either transfer video data direct to the graphics card thereby increasing performance or to transfer video data to the graphics card via system memory.
    CD XtremeRGB Software
    The XtremeRGB is supplied with a stand-alone software application, simply connect your external Analog sources into the card, run the XtremeRGB application to automatically detect the video source format and display the captured video in a window on your desktop. For multiple inputs the application can be executed multiple times, each capture is displayed in its own independent desktop window. The captured video data is displayed in a desktop window with/without menu/borders, can be resized up/down, overlapped and/or maximized to full screen display.
    The EMS application also enables you to configure the timing and format of the input sources as well as brightness, contrast, hue etc ...

    The XtremeRGB-Ex8 has two 26 Way D- type connectors.  Either connector can be used to input video signals using a 16-way splitter cable (provided).  The splitter cable consists of 16 BNC sockets numbered 1-16, connected to a 26-way D connector.  To connect a video input, connect the Composite/S-Video Luma and Chroma as indicated in the table below.

    Video Pass-through

    By connecting a second BNC16 Input Cable (available from EMS) to the second XtremeRGB-Ex8 connector it is possible to daisy-chain the video signals to another device.  In this case the video will normally be terminated on the downstream device; therefore, the inbuilt terminations on the XtremeRGB-Ex8 should be disabled by removing the on-board links.

    Installing Multiple Cards

    Up to 16 cards can be installed in a system providing a maximum of 128 capture channels.
