Description

Two Channel Video Capture Card

A capture card with two channels of HD DVI video and an extra composite video input all operating simultaneously and independently; with full analogue and digital audio support.

The XtremeAV-HD2+ has three independent video capture inputs – two supporting High Definition capture and a third supporting Standard Definition composite video. This capture card also adds multiple channels of audio capture, which can be synchronised in software using timestamping with all video capture channels.

Both DVI High Definition inputs support HDMI, DVI, RGB and analogue Component (YPbPr) input via a DVI-I connector, at resolutions up to 4096×4096 pixels and supports 1080p (1920×1080) at 60 frames per second.

The XtremeAV-HD2+ captures all three video channels simultaneously and triple buffers them into onboard storage for tear free video, alongside an audio stream that can be selected from one of the HDMI or one of the analogue audio ports. This data can then be processed and copied using DMA transfers to the host system for display, storage or streaming.

Video Streaming Support

Direct WDM streaming driver supports the following applications, to encode, record and stream video over networks or the internet:

  • Dataton WatchOut
  • Microsoft Expression Encoder
  • Microsoft Windows® Media Encoder
  • VideoLAN VLC
  • NorPix StreamPix
  • VitualDub
  • Adobe Flash Encoder
  • VidBlaster
  • AMCap and other DirectShow compatible software

For further details see the EMS DirectShow SDK documentation supplied as part of a typical installation.

Software

A single XtremeAV device supports up to 16 independent scale factors, colour spaces and frame rate clients, which enables multiple streams to be sent to and from the card at the same time in different formats.

Supports timestamp for capture synchronisation across inputs, cards and systems.
For the use with edge blending, frame stitching, stereoscopic and many more applications using gen-locked sources.

Flexible and configurable preferred mode EDID Management
Allows programming of custom EDID parameters including ‘Preferred Mode’

Low input to output capture latency
DMA to third party graphics vendors back and front buffers via Direct3D
Compatibility with AMD DirectGMA
Compatibility with Nvidia GPUDirect

Software Interfaces
