Creating a Snapshot

Snapshots are created to collate all information regarding the system into one file enabling support teams to quickly identify and solve any problems associated with your system. Two types of Snapshots are available.

Creating a Snapshot

Snapshots can be created from the File Menu.

Save As Snapshot

A more basic snapshot of the system is created. When selected, the snapshot is created and a Windows save dialogue is displayed allowing the user to save the snapshot to a specific location.

 

Save As Diagnostic Snapshot

A diagnostic snapshot contains more detailed information than a basic snapshot such as memory dumps. Save As Diagnostic Snapshot is not available when connected to a machine remotely. When selected, the snapshot is created and a Windows save dialogue is displayed allowing the user to save the diagnostic snapshot to a specific location.
