Introduction

The Diagnostic Suite is a tool that captures diagnostic information from all the EMS Imaging hardware within your system. Should problems occur with the system, the diagnostics information may be collated and saved, enabling the user to forward a snapshot of the system to EMS Imaging Support.

The aim of this help file is to guide users through some basic functions including how to open the application and create a diagnostics snapshot

Installation

The Diagnostic Suite is installed in the system during the factory production phase, however it is recommended that users visit the EMS Imaging website for the latest version at regular intervals.

Opening The Diagnostic Suite

To open the Diagnostic Suite:

Start | Programs | Diagnostic Suite | Diagnostic Suite | Viewer

Run Locally Click on Run locally and the Diagnostic Suite will display all the diagnostics for the current system
Connect to Server

Click on Connect to Server and the user can remotely connect to any system on the network providing the system you wish to connect to is running the Diagnostic Suite application. Both systems should have the same major version number for compatibility, i.e. V1.X.X.

When Connect to Server selected the application will search the local network and display any discoverable systems. This requires the network switches and or the routers to allow UPD WS discovery traffic. It may take a couple of seconds for the discovered systems to appear.

Any connection made will be saved in the history panel.

Open Snapshot Clicking on Open Snapshot gives the user access to previously saved diagnostic snapshots. Creating a snapshot

When Run Locally is selected or when a connection to a server on the network has been made the System Overview is displayed.
